About Tony Rino (photo by Christina Forsyth) Tony Rino’s passion for spirited music began in his teens. Singing as a hobby, Tony is an entertainer, fundraiser and recording artist. He has performed for distinguished audiences including the Prime Minister of Canada, Italy’s Ambassador to Canada, and the Roman Catholic Bishop of Calgary. Tony's past credits include singing with the Calgary Opera Chorus, and starring on TV and radio as a narrator, host, singer and a role on The Movie Show as the Singing Chef.

From 1996 to 2004, Tony sang National Anthems at over 200 home games for the Calgary Flames. He has also performed anthems for many other teams including the Calgary Stampeders, Calgary Hitmen, Calgary Cannons, and Calgary Vipers.

Garry Sylvester on accordion performing live with Tony Rino (photo by Claire Bateson)Tony’s charitable performances have benefited dozens of charities including Project Rachel, Saint Vincent de Paul, L’Arche, Development & Peace, The Mustard Seed Street Ministry and The Annual Bishop’s Appeal. He has also performed and raised funds for The Canadian Cancer Society, Rotary International, The Royal Canadian Legion and VoicePrint.

Joined by his father Joe and his son Joseph, the "3 Tenor Rino's" perform at many charitable events. In 2008, Tony's sister Maria Gagliardi performed "The Prayer" with Tony at the 10th annual A Song For Rachel Concert.

His second CD "Prego" was released in 2006, with a portion of sales being donated to charities. Prego can be purchased through paypal, or from The Mustard Seed, or at any of Tony's live performances.

Tony Rino is a Knight of Columbus and a cantor at his church. He produces many fundraising concerts and continues to perform with his many talented and generous musical colleagues who share the belief that "the measure you give is the measure you receive."
